Members Spotlight: New College Lanarkshire
New College Lanarkshire is one of the largest colleges in Scotland. The College plays a critical role in realising the social, economic and cultural aspirations of the area, and in making Lanarkshire a better place in which to live and work
NCL is a member of Lanarkshire Larder which allows the college to introduce students to the food and drink industry in Scotland and work with real businesses which gives students an in-depth understanding of the industry.
Last Friday the students put together a fantastic 4 course lunch in the MLOne Motherwell training restaurant for Lanarkshire Larder members. Using some of our members produce they created an innovative and exciting menu.
Blue cheese from Errington Cheese, award winning Piccalilli from Millers Larder, fresh vegetables from Shirleys’ Kitchen Garden, Salmon seared with McLean Gin, roast pork loin from the Butchery Kitchen, honey from Glen Heather honey. All served with a fantastic selection of teas from the Scottish Tea House, Coffee from Fowers Coffee and some stunning gin liqueurs from Mclean Gin and Biggar Gin.
