A small family-run business, they opened the first Scottish Wagyu shop in March 2016. All the Wagyu beef is reared on the farm in Lanarkshire.

The shop also stocks lots of quality, local farm produce including Angus beef rose beef, Scotch lamb, quail, hen and duck eggs.

The Neilson family started milking cows at Park Farm in 1965. Since then, three generations have developed the business and this year, are building an on-farm dairy, and launching a doorstep delivery service, promoting sustainable agriculture, reusable packaging and reducing food miles.

They have put together a collection of the best locally-sourced essential items from Lanarkshire including milk, eggs, bread, cheese, steak pies and other tasty treats.

Cairn Lodge Services Farm Shop & Kitchen is a family-owned motorway service area that cooks good food from scratch and champions Scottish produce.

Established in 1989 by Janet Cathro with support from her parents and now run in partnership with her eldest daughter Lynzi. With a background in boutique interior design Janet has applied her inherent good taste to selecting high-end gifts for sale through the Strathaven shop and on-line.

Carmichael Estate is Scotland’s oldest farming family business at the source of the Carmichael name. Located in South Lanarkshire near Biggar the farm butchery produces award winning “single malt” meats including venison, beef and lamb. The meats are available in the farm shop, are served in their bistro/tearoom, and sold at farmers’ markets.

Set up in June 2021 following the success of running a larder during the pandemic.
