Lanarkshire Larder Members Spotlight

CCI at LLanarkshire Larder Recipe Challenge - Academic Year 2022 / 2023

Clydesdale Community Initiatives (CCI), is a social enterprise and inclusion charity based at Langloch Farm just outside Lanark, supporting people who face barriers to inclusion, to contribute to their community.

Their award-winning social enterprise empowers people to learn new skills, improve their health and wellbeing and most importantly to see themselves (and be seen by others) as active members of the community.

They do this through person-centred training and support in a range of vocational environments such as horticulture, conservation, woodworking, botanics, food growing/preparation and cooking.

CCI also co-ordinate the Community Food Growing Network, which supplies in-season, locally grown fruit and vegetables to the Clydesdale Food Bank.

The Langloch Farm site offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, including a tranquil wooded nature trail, fun nature play, various growing areas, an outdoor classroom, a spacious dog friendly Tea Room with outside patio and courtyard seating and a choice of meeting rooms.

CCI run several lifestyle workshops and classes throughout the year at Langloch Farm. And our facilities and catering services can be booked by the public for private events on site.

The Barn Tea Room and Gift Shop, sells CCI’s Woodcraft and Botanics products as well as plants and flowers from Langloch Farm’s Market Garden, and its menu, from freshly prepared breakfasts, homemade soups and sandwiches to homebaking, uses local ingredients wherever possible.

Langloch Farm at CCI is open seven days a week from 9.30am to 4.30pm.All proceeds from our social enterprise go straight back into the charity.
