At their purpose-built Gin Lab, McLean’s produce a range of quirky, colourful expressions in batches of no more than 50 litres, with every aspect of their production carried out by hand.

Key expressions include their classic Citrus, contemporary Cherry Bakewell, and Something Blue; a mutli-award nominated spirit created to celebrate the marriage of owners Colin and Jessica McLean.

Something blue.

In the summer of 2017, Colin and Jessica McLean began producing bespoke gin, made to order on a bottle-by-bottle basis from the converted storage cupboard of their 1-bedroom Battlefield flat. Fast forward to now and McLean’s Gin is producing that same gin - as well 5 others (and the occasional one-off) - in batches of no more than 50 litres from their purpose-built gin lab on the edge of the charming village of Strathaven.

To celebrate their marriage in 2018, they released a limited run Something Blue that sold out in a matter of days. Because it was nominated for ‘Speciality Gin of the Year’ at the acclaimed Scottish Gin Awards they decided to continue producing it.
